Dear Burger King
I just want to say thank you for sharing the entrepreneurial spirit by teaching others that the “Have It Your Way” philosophy is possible in business.
I looked at my bank account and realized that Burger King is my favorite restaurant. My daughter even jokes with me and says, “Burger King for dinner”
This letter is also for you to keep me in mind for future opportunities that could include me in Burger King commercials and also Burger King sponsoring products and services that I develop.
If I had it my way we would meet for lunch to discuss partnerships and I would order a Whopper Combo with cheese cut in half and Diet Coke with ice.
I like doing with you so much that in order to visit you I pass by McDonald’s, KFC and Subway along the way.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to your feedback.

(E) Entrepreneur your expertise. Use what you do best and give your job a rest. Use what you know to grow. Even if you never leave your job being in business will help you get some tax write offs.
(V) Visit your elders. Life is about paying dues and paying respect. Give back to the generation that has given to us. (Discuss hanging out with Bubba)
(A) Ask for feedback. Golden nuggets of wisdom are found when we ask those close to us how can we improve?
(N) No Your Way. You have to say no sometimes. Every opportunity is not for you. Learn what is for you and not for you. Learn how to make the most of each opportunity that is right for you.
(T) Teach others. Keep your legacy growing. We are taught so that one day we will teach. Passing on the knowledge keeps entire communities and cultures alive over centuries.

How To Use Your Skills
by Encouragement Speaker Derrick Hayes
Everyone has a God given ability or skill that can be used to inspire and motivate others. A skill is defined by Dictionary.com as an ability to use one’s knowledge effectively in doing something. In Thessolonians 4:11-12, a foundation is given for “How To Use Your Skills”, The scripture says “And that ye study to be quiet, and do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we command you; That you may walk honestly toward that are without, and that you may have lack for nothing.”
In order to know “How To Use Your Skills” you must know what your skills are, become an expert at what you do, network with others and use your skills to achieve dreams.
Is there something that you are good at or just like to do? The answer to this question can open up your life to many opportunities that may not have already come your way. I like to give speeches and write daily quotes.
Once you realize what you are good at, then it is time for you to capitalize on your efforts. You can be known as an expert in your industry by writing books, articles, columns and newsletters. Everything you do will develop your talents and increase your chances to succeed.
For example my father in law is a trained carpenter where he uses his talents to fix doors, and build houses while making sure people live in a comfortable environment. You can have a natural or trained ability that can lead you to start businesses, build careers or change lives.
You are reading this article because of networking. I was on-line networking while reading Robert Lee’s profile. I saw that he was a Director of Events. I sent him a message and we began to discuss opportunities on how we could work together in the future. After trading contact information one of the results was an opportunity to speak at an event he put together.
No matter where you come from there is an opportunity inside you that is waiting to come out. Find out what you can do and become great at it. On your way to the top don’t forget about others who can also benefit from networking with you.
We all have the skills to pay the bills. I hope you figure out “How To Use Your Skills” because my slogan is “Use Your Skills or Someone Else Will”.

How To FORGIVE
by Encouragement Speaker Derrick Hayes
Do you know someone that is holding a grudge? Are you the one that is feeling let down?
It is hard to move to from one point to another when you are bitter. This article is help us all find ways to forgive. A breakthrough is on the way.
Before we lose valuable friendship let’s fact check, open our mouths, respect each other, give time, initiate conversation, visit if possible and engage our relationships.
(F) Fact check. Find out what really happened and if you should even be mad. I was recently watching Oprah where the world witnessed that Whoopi and Oprah did not talk for years because they both felt neither one liked the other. He said She said is what can keep a relationship dead. No matter how much it hurts seek the truth.
(O) Open your mouth. If you’re wrong find a way to express it through email, call or in person. Recently my daughter something I said the wrong way. I saw how it bothered her so I called her and apologized to explain what my intentions were. After she heard my side we were able to move on.
(R) Respect their wishes. After you apologize they may not want to be bothered. You have to understand that what you took years to build can be destroyed in a few seconds. Love and war are never fair. Take mental notes on how they want to be treated and respect their decision.
(G) Give it time. Mending broken fences can take a day, week, year or lifetime. Ask if you can call them in a few days or check back with them in a few weeks. If it is meant to be it will be. Sometimes we have to take our lives off rush avenue and keep our behinds on hush avenue.
(I) Initiate next conversation. If you get the opportunity to stay in touch by all means stay in touch. You never know who you can help and who can help you. Friends are hard to find. Reach out by letter, card or place a call to follow up with them and see if and how you all can keep the communication door open.
(V) Visit if allowed. There is no better moment of clarity then to see the look in someone’s eyes. You can hide emotions on the phone but in person you will know immediately if you are truly wanted. Studies will suggest that over 90% of all communication is nonverbal.
(E) Engage the relationship. If you get the chance the chance to get back in the game make sure you play ball. Remember this, if you don’t do it somebody else will. Anyone can sit on the couch and say ouch. Enjoy your city and find things that your friend, spouse, associate or lover can do together.
Children as well as adults are loosing relationships because we won’t FORGIVE. There are circumstances where have to move on. Hang in there if you can. Remember we are supposed to be here for each other.

How To Stay Positive
Copyright by Encouragement Speaker Derrick Hayes
In life you can be positive or negative. Just like there are two sides to ever coin. If you don’t use your head you can fall on your tail.
Through the word HABIT I will reveal to you 5 things that you can do daily to stay positive.
The word HABIT was chosen because it takes 17 to 21 days for a habit to be permanent in your life. Once the habit is cemented in your life it can be positive or negative. Guess what? Transformation is only three weeks away. Follow the HABIT formula to stay positive.
(H) Have hope. No matter what has happened to you it has not killed you. Knowing that should give you a feeling that the best is yet to come. When Barack Obama first started to run President not everyone believed in him. The Yes We Can campaign was the hope builder that kept knocking down the nope builders. Even if it sounds corny to you speak words to yourself each day like Jesse Jackson and say “ I am Somebody.”
(A) Accept who you are. Hope will wake you up to find out who you really are. Look in the mirror and love who you are, what you are and where you are in life. This is only the beginning to your destiny dynasty. The stage in life teaches you about handling responsibility. Before you rise up put yourself in position to know what’s going down in your life.
(B) Become better. Knowing where you are sets the stage for where you want to go. When the focus is in place the picture will be clear for you on what changes and improvements need to take place. Ask others close to you how you can improve? Use the feedback they give you and implement the things you can. Never stop striving to become better.
(I) Inspire Others. People will see the changes that have taken place in your life. Take notes on your journey through the good and bad. This will give you a blue print of what works and what you can teach others in their walk. There is no testimony without a test.
(T) Take your time. Be patient. Rome wasn’t built in a day but if you develop a quality product or service you will slowly win them over. Time is a valuable asset that you can’t get back. Make the most of it at all times. Work and test your results and keep working.
Realize you are full of hope. Accept who you are but understand that you can get better. Your success will inspire others. Give yourself a chance to see your dreams come true. Your HABIT is a formula for success that can help you stay positive.

How To Become A Tycoon
I grew up wanting to know how to make money and take my life to the next level. While networking with celebrities and millionaires from all over the world I started to ask them questions about how they became successful.
One of my many conversations was with Wahid Shakur who is better known as Mr. Tycoon. His brand name is Mr. Tycoon because he teaches others how to live their dreams by creating wealth through multiple income streams. I asked Mr. Tycoon to give me a step through each letter in the word TYCOON that others could implement into their life.
Here are 6 success strategies that you can use on a daily basis to become better at what you do.
(T) Think different. Open your mind to possibilities. New thinking can produce new results. In Romans 12:2 it says people will be transformed when they renew their mind. Start you’re your day off by reading books like The Power Of Positive Thinking, As a Man Thinketh and The Magic of Thinking Big to get your mind right. When you know you can grow.
(Y) Yearn for more. What do you wake and want to do? What would you do for free? This is your passion. There is a great book entitled Crush it by Gary Vaynerchuk that will help you cash in on your passion. You can only go as far as you want to go. A big dream is in you. Your purpose is to wake it up and take action.
(C) Create income streams. When your thinking is not stinking and your passion is on par the time is now for you to capitalize on opportunities. Turn things you can do right now into products and services. Don’t wait until tomorrow. Right now you can turn your knowledge into short reports and eBooks. When I’m not speaking money is made through the sale of Personalized Derricknyms and Motivation To Your Mobileä.
(O) Overcome obstacles. How you deal with obstacles can determine how far you go in life and business. I use optimism daily to help others overcome discouragement by giving them a WOE, a Word of Encouragement. Find the system that works for you. Things will happen and opportunities for destruction can knock on your door. Having good thoughts, a passionate future and seeing the opportunities you are blessed with can help you see the positive in your life so the negative doesn’t stay around.
(O) Offer to help. Find ways to give back to the next generation. Each day I get to work with the greatest minds in the world. Now the world wants and deserves to hear from greatness like you. As you rise reach out to be a mentor. In most cities there are Small Business Development Centers where you can share your expertise with upcoming entrepreneurs. If you want to work with youth there are organizations like Girls, Inc. and the Boys and Girls Club.
(N) Never quit. As a youth I loved to run and each day I’m awake I feel like I’m in the starting blocks. Love your life and put yourself in position so that you’re on track in your own lane. Many dreams end up dead and gone. They are in the cemetery. Destiny is on the phone and calling you out. What are you going to do? Mc Hammer said it best that you are “2 Legit To Quit”
You could be the next TYCOON so make up your mind, dream big, create businesses, overcome, help others, and never quit.

Help Student Become A CEO
Dear: Potential Investor
As a founding member of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization at Fresno City College, I, Dant'e Delt, will have the opportunity to attend the 2010 National CEO Conference which will be held in Chicago, IL November 4-7, 2010. CEO chapters are located on over 140 campuses across North America. The mission of theCEO is to inform, support, and inspire college students to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation.
Each member of the club puts a great deal of energy and hard work into qualifying to attend the 2010 National CEO Conference, and we are all thrilled to have an opportunity to attend this important and educational event. Each year, more than 1,600 students, faculty, and others interested in entrepreneurship attend the three day conference.
In order to represent our college and our community at the 2010 National CEO Conference I have to raise $1100, by October 22nd to fund the trip. The money is necessary to cover transportation, accommodations, and admission to the 2010 National CEO Conference.
I am contacting community leaders like you, to request financial assistance. Can I, as a member of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization count on your support? Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated and will go directly toward funding this important educational experience.
This year we are looking to launch our student-run-business, El Colegio Taco. One of our goals in Chicago is to compete in the Business Pitch Competition, which will create more awareness and motivate other entrepreneurs’ in college, who are attending the conference. Please call one of my faculty advisors, Marianne Dunklin, Ph.D. at 559-442-4600 ext. 8490 or Gayla Jurevich, PHR at 559-779-1135 if you would like more information. RIP to Harry Galbreath
I met Harry when I was in college. At the time he was one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL. For a few days in 1993 he was the highest paid offensive lineman in NFL history. The way he played the game of life off the field is what impressed everyone the most. One of the greatest moments we shared was whe...n I graduated from College I asked Harry to come to our graduation cookout. Harry had just signed with the Green Bay Packers my oldest brothers favorite team. Harry showed up in his old school chevy. He kept it real and was never flashy. I posted the bio so you can read up on a great person that some may of never heard of. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Galbreath

About WOE Enterprise
A few years ago my life hit rock bottom. I looked into the bible and I saw the word woe. I also wanted to see how the dictionary defined woe. Woe meant trials or tribulations. In life a woe to you might be a job loss and to another it might be a broken relationship.
One day I was thinking how I could reinvent my life so I wrote down the word woe on a piece of paper. As the document spoke to me it revealed that woe now meant WOE as in Word of Encouragement. From there I received this slogan.
“Before you leave work or go to sleep tonight, give someone a WOE, a Word Of Encouragement.”

I was watching television one night and my wife and I were looking for a movie to see when I saw the advertisement for The Second Chance. When we read the credits for who was in the movie, I said, “honey I went to school with Jeff Carr. I know him. She still thinks I don’t know anyone.
